BATTLER

Clyde Marine services BATTLER paid another visit to BVT Scotstoun today. Seen here with the gate from No.2 dry dock made fast and on her way up to KGV dock for some reason, possibley maintenance work on the dry dock entrance. I'm note sure if the dock gate was left up at KGV. The two Type 45's are DAUNTLESS - D33 on the inside and DARING - D32 on the outside. ARKLOW VENUS is up at Shieldhall riverside. Also BVT's yard tender helping out BATTLER.

DAUNTLESS move - 1

The scene yesterday afternoon as the tugs prepare to move DAUNTLESS from No.2 dry dock. This was the view from the Renfrew ferry. Clyde Marine's BATTLER with the No.2 dock gate and BRUISER waiting to attach a line to DAUNTLESS. Svitzer's WARRIOR III and MALLAIG waiting to move DARING away from the wall.

BRUISER at work.

D33 almost clear of the dock.

The Svitzer lads then began moving DARING away from the Wall.

DIAMOND afloat in No.3 dry dock as BATTLER and the dock gate await DAUNTLESS clearing the dry dock entrance.

A fine sight. A busy Scotstoun and the sun out to play.

DAUNTLESS move - 2

A busy day for the tugmen. Clyde Marine had arrived up at lunchtime and the Svitzer tugs stayed upriver once they had berthed HNLMS ROTTERDAM up at KGV dock.

With DAUNTLESS clear of the dock entrance BATTLER began moving the gate back into position.

RED COUNTESS getting in on the act. Moving those big buffers alongside DARING.

With their work done for the day BRUISER and BATTLER get ready to head for home. Also, the dock gate is now back in place. D35 - DRAGON will take her place in No.2 dry dock once she is launched in a few weeks time.

Clydeside!

Greenock bound.

A day for nice views.

The final view of yesterday's move. DAUNTLESS on the inside and DARING on the outside as the tugs begin to stand down. I believe DAUNTLESS will start her first sea trial early in November.
