She is working alongside the dredger WD MEDWAY II. The large object off her stern is lowered onto the riverbed and dragged along to level any disturbance that has been caused by the dredging. Well, I think thats how it works. On the Notice to Mariners Clydeport has the bed levelling tug as KAMSAR. There was either a last minute change or a typo on the Notice.

The buildings in the background are those of the old Lobnitz & Co shipyard. The land ahead of the tug, exposed by the low tide, were the slipways of the old Simons shipyard. Both these old yards specialised in Dredgers. Industry leaders in their day with dredgers built for customers the world over. Many still dredging to this day even though the yards closed back in the mid 1960's.
