FIRE 7

FIRE 7

The modern day rescue service on the Upper Clyde, operated by Strathclyde Fire & Rescue. She was heading back up to the Yoker slip to be loaded onto her trailer and driven back to her land base, possibly Knightswood fire station.
Up until a few years ago the main river rescue service was undertaken by the Glasgow Humane Society. Mainly by George Parsonage. I highly recommend viewing the short film about George's life on our river. The man is Mr Clyde!

The video can be Viewed Here.

  1. Been following events on the Clyde for a while now with interest. Wonderful little film about George, seems like a down to earth modest man.
    Keep up the good work.
