Riverside Museum progress

An update on the build progress of the new Riverside Museum. The slipway starting to take shape. The museum will replace the Transport Museum based at the Kelvin Hall. The newbuild is due to open in 2011.

The tall ship Glenlee will move down to this new stretch of quayside once the museum opens.

The building was designed by the Iraqi architect Zaha Hadid and is meant to represent waves. It's looking good but any Maritime Museum in Glasgow should be on the site of the old Govan Graving Docks. A forgotten gem.

With what was the entrance to the Yorkhill basin over to the right.
